Case Study: Real Wellness

Real Wellness provides massage and beauty treatments to busy women who want to indulge in a bit of regular self care. Amongst treatments on offer are waxing, manicures, pedicures, reflexology, massage and facials, as well as wellness consultations.

Beccy Harris, the lady behind Real Wellness, has been making women feel more relaxed, balanced and calm with her treatments for the past couple of years. As a busy mum of two, business owner and with a partner in tow, she knows all too well how juggling life can take its toll. As a result, she is passionate about making other women feel less guilty about spending time on themselves and take away the stresses of their day, meaning they can go back to daily life feeling refreshed and restored.

Beccy connected with me on Facebook a couple of years ago when I responded to her post asking for advice on how to market her business and get more clients. We chatted about our businesses via messenger and discussed how we could work together. 

A few weeks later Beccy reached out to me to discuss helping her set up a Mailchimp account and training her on how to use it so she could be more tech savvy and make best use of email marketing for her business.

Beccy arranged a two hour slot in her diary to be free for the training session and I was able to spend time explaining Mailchimp to her without any jargon. I helped her set up a GDPR sign up page, added it to her Facebook Page and created a branded email template that she could use going forward.

Beccy’s confidence with using the tech was boosted as a result and she was able to create her own email campaigns without assistance, to promote services to customers and encourage them to make further bookings. 

Booking treatments is vital to the success of Real Wellness. As Beccy was becoming busier due to her marketing efforts, she realised the booking process needed to be simplified so she could focus more on treating her clients without being tied up on the phone. So she asked me to set up an online booking system to make the booking process easier; taking care of itself so she could focus on clients. 

Beccy chose 10 to 8 as her online booking tool and I was able to add all of her treatments, set up automated appointment confirmations/reminders and take payment at point of booking. Which meant her clients could now book day or night at their convenience; without having to remember to call during opening hours. It also meant Beccy got paid upfront and reduced cancellations or no shows.  She now has a steady flow of regular, authentic customers who value her treatments and services.

How I Helped Real Wellness

When I first connected with Beccy she was struggling to do all the “business stuff” she knew was important like marketing and having systems in place as well as delivering treatments to clients. By outsourcing the “business stuff” she was able to focus on spending more time with clients which she loves and is more confident about the direction her business going. Since working together her client base has doubled and is continuing to increase at a manageable rate. She recently gained 8 new clients in a fortnight.

Since finishing both projects Beccy asked me to help set up and implement a loyalty program so she can reward her most valued customers. The program was launched at the start of this year and is helping to encourage regular clients to book more treatments, more often. Her business continues to grow and she is now in a place where she can plan to take time off for holidays or to spend with family.
